Overview

I am a PhD student specializing in Southeast Asian history. My research interests circle around historical geography, gender and sexuality, and legal history.

My master project studies the developing trajectory of Singapore’s Women and Girls Protection Ordinances (WGPO) as an epitome of interwar internationalism and imperialism.

At Cornell, I am interested in exploring the gender and religious dimensions of human-place relationship in Southeast Asia and China.
