Overview
I study histories of Britain and the British Empire throughout the 19th century. I am particularly interested in exploring questions and themes concerning the maritime history of the British Empire, especially where it pertains to the littoral contact-zones of empire. I am fascinated by the social and economic impacts of the Royal Navy in imperial ports and the transnational experiences of sailors across the British Imperial world.
