Overview
I am a historian of nineteenth and early twentieth century Eastern Europe. My focus is on the intellectual history of nationalism as well as its impact on rights discourse and economic development. I have received funding to conduct archival research in Romania, consulting unique documents such as manuscripts, letters, and rare journals. This was critical to my work on the suffrage movement and growth of the oil industry.
Before coming to Cornell, I founded a podcast in the Trinity College Dublin history department which was awarded a grant from the Trinity Trust (AY2024-2025). It is linked below.
