What are the most valuable skills you gained from your Arts & Sciences education?

The most valuable skills I gained from my Arts & Sciences education resulted from exposure to many different areas of study, some of which I didn’t think I would enjoy, but I ended up loving! Even the tougher, less-familiar subjects helped me realize that I am capable of learning anything, in any discipline, as long as I set my mind to it.

What was your favorite class and why?

My favorite class at Cornell was Oceanography with Professor Monger because it made me realize how important our planet is and how our environment affects us and will affect future generations. It made me passionate about conservation.

What is your main extracurricular activity--why is it important to you?

My most exciting extracurricular activity at Cornell was wheelchair ballroom dancing because it fostered inclusivity on campus, especially in our semester productions. It offered a showcase for diversity and helped our peers realize we are all similar in our need for fun, sports and entertainment.
