History Advisor Program

The History Advisor Program (HAP) is a new CHS initiative. The purpose of the HAP is to pair experienced upperclassmen "peer advisors" with freshman and transfer students who have indicated an interest in studying history. The peer advisors will guide their advisees through intricacies of the major and history coursework. 

Program Goals 

1.- Add to the sense of community between students of history at all levels, strengthening the undergraduate experience in the major for both new and experienced students

2.- Attract a greater number of students to the history major

3.- Enhance scholarship by engaging interested undergraduates in the history major as soon as possible
